There is no doubt that Gary Faulkner,
Jr. has the potential to become one of the best bowlers in
Memphis history.
This Germantown High School Senior has been bowling since he was
2 years old and by all indications has a great future and if his
dreams come true, he'll be on a path that will eventually take
him to the PBA Tour.

Gary, Jr. was born to Gary Faulkner, Sr. and Wanda Faulkner 17
years ago here in Memphis. His father is the pastor at
Cummings Street Baptist Church and his mother works for the City
of memphis, Law Division - City Grants Compliance Division.
He has one sister, Alexandria. Neither Gary, Sr. nor Wanda
are league bowlers but Alexandria is a youth bowler.
in the just completed Youth City Tournament, Gary won All Events
Scratch with a score of 2120 in the following events: |
| |
- Singles - 265, 290, 280 = 835
- Doubles - 226, 247, 195 = 668
- Team - 223, 167, 227 = 617

This past June, Gary won his 3rd in a
row TNBA Junior Scratch Singles championship in Atlanta and in
doing so, scored another 300 game. He led that tournament
from start to finish.
Since rolling his 835 series in the Memphis Youth City
Tournament, Gary surpassed that series with three stellar games
in the 2008 Tennessee Top 5 Tournament. He had games of
300, 300 & 279 for an incredible 879 series. That series
is the highest youth series in Tennessee history and ties the
adult high scratch series.
Added December, 2008:
We have been informed by the USBC that Gary's 879 series is the
highest youth series in the nation and accordingly, will receive
an award from the USBC. |
