Erin
Wooten has been involved with bowling
since her birth in Jan 1992.
She
started bowling at the age of 7 at
Winchester Bowl. Her first coach was
Donna Sneed. Erin’s team took first
place that year for their division. She
bowled with her cousins Stephen and
Megan Mefford.
Erin moved
to Cordova Lanes at the age of 10 to
bowl under the direction of Dave
Peterson and Mark Hansgen. She
continued to do well. She took High
Average and High Game Scratch for the
two seasons that she bowled at Cordova.
Erin then
followed her Coach Dave Peterson to
Bartlett Lanes where she continues to
bowl under Youth Coordinator, Holly
Ciancioso, being coached by Joe
Trowbridge, Wayne Patton, and Lynn
Waddell plus some coaching from Kenny
Corley. She serves on the MAUSBC Youth
Board of Directors Representing Bartlett
Lanes.
She has
bowled in the Youth City Tournament,
Pepsi, State and Top Five. She has also
bowled in the Pick your Partner
Tournament.
Erin also
bowls for her High School, Bolton High
School, under the direction of Matt
Adler. Bolton Girls Bowling Team won
Regionals last year and then represented
their district at Sub State.
When we
say Erin has been involved with Bowling
since her Birth, we really mean it.
Her
Father, James Wooten, is a Past
Director, Past Secretary, Past VP and
Past Pres and a Life Member of the
Memphis Bowling Association and the 1st
President of the Memphis Area USBC, and
is now serving as Director on the MAUSBC
Youth Board. Her Mother, Diana Wooten,
has be the Administrative Assistant for
the Memphis Bowling Association which is
now the Memphis Area USBC for 24 years.
Erin
started out by being in a port crib in
her Mothers Office. She has been to
more tournaments than most kids her age.
Her first tournament she ever attended
was in Corpus Christi TX, she was 3
months old. She started selling 50/50
tickets at the age of 5 with one of the
directors of the MBA to raise money for
Scholarships for the Youth of Memphis at
the City, State and Southern
Tournaments. She often tells the
Directors and bowlers that she should be
a life member of the Bowling Association
as she has put in well over 10 years of
her life working tournaments.
Erin has
always been interested in the workings
of the Board. She is proud to represent
Memphis under the direction of Teresa
Padell, Joan Demarco, Judy Jones, Mark
Hansgen, and James Wooten, our Adult
Youth Directors of the MAUSBC. She
loves to work with people and wants to
see the sport of bowling continue to
grow. She has always taken her position
on the MAUSBC Youth Board very seriously
and is now very committed to doing a
good job for her new position as the TN
State Youth Leaders Association Manager.
Erin’s
Passion in life is first and foremost
her Lord and Savior, then Bowling and
Dance.
